How it Works
Quarterly Co.™ is a subscription service that enables people to receive physical items in the mail from influential contributors of their choice. Let’s get started!
Bobby Solomon is a designer from Los Angeles and likes to concentrate on the future rather than the past. His mailings will be random and fun, sometimes deep, always unique.
Geoff Manaugh is an architecture enthusiast interested in the forgotten futures and overlooked landscapes of today. His mailings will equip you with the tools, maps, and artifacts you need to explore the built—and unbuilt—environment.
Tina Roth Eisenberg is a Swiss designer gone NYC with a love of clean and functional design. Her mailings will all be items that she would happily showcase in her minimalist workspace.
John Maeda is president of RISD and an artist, designer, and educator whose career reflects his philosophy of humanizing technology. John’s shipments will show what happens when you place art and design at the center of science and technology, in other words, create STEAM from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs have spent hundreds of hours in the kitchen together, first working on the bestselling The Essential New York Times Cookbook, and later creating FOOD52, the first crowd-sourced and crowd-curated food community. They’ll be sending you packages filled with nifty items for your kitchen and table
A really pleasant thing happens for us every time we mail a Quarterly box. A couple days later… you receive it! We know: obvious. But seriously, the miracle of the mail gets us every time. And it’s pretty cool for us to see you open the packages we just boxed up.
So we thought we’d post a few favorites from your Twitter photos. It’s Friday and all. Nothing too taxing. Just a little Quarterly eye candy. Enjoy.
From @danielmall, here’s a fine photo of #LAD02, laid out all tidy:

@JasonLombard contributed this surreal pic of the already-plenty-surreal Crania Anatomica, from #CHQ02:

@WonderlandK sure didn’t think the #F5201 box was a lemon:

And the special pen inside #YAY02 inspired @Lena_ to do a little extracurricular shopping:

Thanks for sharing the great pictures, everybody! May your weekend be full of Saturday mail.
